This workshop is a commitment to you and your creative passion for photography.

Who are you? What do you care about? Do you photograph what you love? Advanced Portfolio will expose you to the creative process of creating  a cohesive body of work that uses transparent craft as a tool to creative expression. In this class, you’ll learn how to build content with meaning, express ideas through photography, and find your authentic creative self. This class goes well beyond the “obvious” and you are in for a treat with teachers Geir Jordahl and Oliver Klink. Oliver and Geir will use examples from their personal creative processes as a vehicle to helping participants find, create and expand their individual "styles".

On the first day of class, students are required to bring 10 to 15 images (prints, cd, or on a laptop) and a paragraph about their work.

The workshop is taught over 8 sessions spread over 6 months. The idea is to give you ample time to assimilate the material presented during the lectures and get inspired to complete your portfolio.

Advanced Portfolio will culminate in a group exhibition showcasing each participants work in Summer 2012 (July 28 – Sept 17) at PhotoCentral.
