National Parks & Culinary Experience

(SOLD Out)
At the surface this workshop might feel like any others: you visit UNESCO sites and famous cities. But when you read in between the lines, you'll experience Croatia, by being introduced to the relationship between history, culture and food. You'll meet friendly Croatian people, share with them tasteful organic food and fine local wines.
In the Southern part of the country, the culture of food, the table tradition and culinary art dates from the Ancient Roman period till today. Each region we’ll visit as a unique climate, special culture and traditions. You don’t want to miss the small rural sites, still unspoiled and authentic.
In the Northern part of the country, you will find the wild Drava River on the Ancient Roman Limes, the border of the Roman Empire and the Old Antic World; iconic lakes, waterfalls and creeks with the water that is so clean that is still, drinkable; and the swamps full of wildlife and rare birds.
The itinerary has masterly been planned to include private photoshoots, special visits of museum, stops at quaint and famous restaurants where we'll meet locals, and time to "inhale" the feel of the rural regions.
Guided by the top photography Croatian curator, she will emphasize the uniqueness of her country: “I am excited to have each of you discover with your own eyes the contrast between noble (Croatian castles) and rural (small villages and local peasants family); experience our cultural philosophy ‘from the field and barn to the table’’; and visit secluded regions where I will introduce you to ancient art.”
In addition to the Croatian curator (Drazenka), two accomplished fine art photographers will assist you on this journey: Nicolo Sertorio from Oakland, California extensively exhibited in Croatia and Oliver Klink.
This workshop is a unique opportunity to discover the "inside" of a country and its rich history. You will learn how to capture the "feel" of a place and compile a set of images with personal vision in mind.
What is unique about this workshop:
- Guided by three professionals involved in the field of fine art photography
- Unique access to local places
- Assistance to create images with a personal vision
- Full experience from a photography and culinary standpoint
JUST ADDED:
– VIP access to Ana Karenjina ballet (backstage and ballet dancer rehearsals)
- Visit to the eldest Lipizzaner horse farm established in 1506.
- Visit to National Parks with "ranger access"
- Photograph the "culture of coffee" in quaint shops
The entire team is looking forward to hosting you in Croatia in February.
