Sri Lanka: Elephants Festival & Model Shoots

July 30 - August 11, 2020

ONLY 8 participants

This workshop is an exclusive extension to the Sri Lanka: “Paradise Island” (December 2 – 13, 2019) workshop.

The focus of the extension is to create images of elephants and humans at an exclusive location. You will learn how to become a directive creator, to manage various lighting conditions, and to creatively make images of personal nature.

The workshop is structure to have private shoots in the morning at various stations. Each photographer will have ample time to “make” images and to bond with both the elephants and the humans who interact with the animals. We will set up various stations, which each have a different feel (water, trees, grand landscape, …)

During the day, we will continue to photograph elephants in a “grand landscape”. You will train your “photographic eye” to see and capture the interactions between the elephants and their mahouts.

We will teach you how to prepare for the early morning photoshoots with pre-visualization techniques, sketching, story tellings, and more. We will ammunition you with all the tools that will make WOW images.

Time permitting, we will also review post processing techniques. We highly recommend bringing your laptop, so we can start working on images and learn what else is possible for the next photoshoots.

The experience of bonding with the elephants, with the helpers, with the ground crew will put more than a smile on your face, more than magical pictures that will hang on your wall. It will be about warming your heart to something that is truly special. Yes, truly special.

We are looking forward to hosting you at this workshop. Remember that we have very very limited seatings. Register early!
