Prerequisites

Piezography printing produces an extremely high level of black and white tonal separation. It is critical to have a deep understanding of Black and White post processing and to have a consistent workflow.
To get well prepared for this workshop, we highly recommend attending the BW Post Processing

Setting up and keeping a piezography environment working is challenging. During the workshop, you will learn the subtleties to keep your piezo environment producing outstanding prints. The information comes from many years of printing with piezography.
Come prepare to the workshop with a set of prints, you have printed with the manufacturer ink.
If you feel you need extra information to improve your printing, we highly recommend attending the BW Printing

There are many Epson printers that can be converted to piezography. The Epson 38xx series (17” wide), The Epson x900 series (24” or larger), and the new P800 (17” wide) are good choices. If you already own the printer, it is critical that you come to the workshop with “clean nozzles”. If you plan on purchasing a used printer, make sure you check the nozzles.
The good news is that if a channel/head is not working properly, we can reassign channels.
