1 Day: Creative Post Processing

Los Gatos, CA

May TBD, 2022 (9AM - 4PM)

8 Seats

Have you been “stacked” with your post processing? Running out of idea on the feel you want your images to look like?

During the Creative post processing workshop you will learn new techniques on how to post process your images. To demonstrate techniques, we are going to use participants’ and instructors’ images and various software. The experience is like “test driving” techniques, so that at the end of the workshop, you can “invest” wisely in the new tools that are attractive to you.

Each participant brings a set of images to the workshop, which we first review and discuss creative ways to interpret the images. Then we post process images with the “sketching” techniques.

To get you familiar with the “sketching” techniques, we will have examples that are preset (instructor’s images), a step by step cheat sheet so you can easily practice and apply to your own images.

Then we apply the “sketching” techniques to one of your images, leaning on creativity, brainstorming, and making an image that you never thought was possible. An experience not to be missed!

The instruction will touch on multiple facets:
- How to evaluate images and find “gems”
- “The Sketching” techniques
- “Test driving” techniques so you can add tricks/knowledge to your post processing toolkit
- How to think creatively

We highly recommend bringing images from the “How Weird Festival workshop” (May TBD, 2022). Click here to register.

The workshop is taught by two award winning fine art photographers: Dany Suk and Oliver Klink.
Dany Suk is a fine art photographer. He served as a president of Palo Alto Camera Club. His interest in painting inspired him in 2010 to explorer Corel Painter as a tool for photography. During the last nine years he developed his own painterly photographic style.
Oliver is using multiple techniques to post process his images. “Photographing and Processing images with a personal style is a passion. You can relive what you saw at the point of capture with your artistic mind”, says Oliver.

We look forward to hosting you in Los Gatos. Expect to have an incredible and creative day.

Dany and Oliver.
