The goal of this class is to teach you techniques on how to print your B&W images. The format of the class is group online lessons (3 sessions) and private online coaching sessions (3 sessions). We will review your actual prints, that will be mailed back and forth. You do have three options to print: On your own printer (highly recommended), printing service (e.g. Coastal Giclee, local print makers), my printing service (using either Epson Ultrachrome inks or piezography inks). At the end of the workshop, you will have acquired knowledge that enable you to print black and white images with accuracy and consistency.

Session One: 2 hours online class - group session
Goal: Printing Environment (printer, paper, ink)
At the end of the session, you will have a good understanding on how to set up and troubleshoot your printing environment. We will discuss in details color space, type of papers, type of printers and how to set them up, printing interface (manufacturer, RIP), third party print maker (what to look for), and much more.

Session Two : 1 hour online class - private session
Goal: Private coaching – review of your images
During the session, we will review your images, answer specific questions related to the content taught in Session 1. This is a unique opportunity to get feedback on how you are progressing with your new post processing skills.
You will print two copies of your images for the session, mail them for review to Oliver Klink and keep one copy to follow along. Printed images will be displayed under neutral light and share over a zoom feed.

Session Three: 2 hours online class - group session
Goal: Advanced Post Processing techniques
We will discuss various techniques to improve post processing, such as creating consistent style, “squeezing more” out of an image, adapting techniques to the paper, ink, lighting conditions. Examples will be based on participants’ images (real life examples!).

Session Four : 1 hour online class - private session
