"Prince Charming" Turkey Vulture
Cathartes aura
Prince, came to Sulphur Creek on October 24, 1989 after being found in Oakland with an injured wing. He was underweight and missing the tip of his left wing. Without a complete wing he would not be able to fly or soar the warm air currents. He now resides at Sulphur Creek with another injured turkey vulture and is a favorite for the over 20,000 school children that visit him each year.
